I used a Mesa 2x12 cab years back and pretty much overkill.Ī 60 watt mark series or SOB 12 small cabinet will rock most places. Gibson, Suhr, Premier Mesa Boogie Dealer. Your SOB Head will sound excellent and big with a 4 twelve cab, but too much octane for most venues.

Would be plenty of power for a Bar/Club gig that I have had the pleasure of playing in. Yes I was at a Canadian Chain store Wentworth Music and I was trying out a Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue and I was struck by just how much volume and headroom the amplifier had with just the modest output of two 6V6 power tubes and the 22 Watt output.
